iDAO Policy System

The Policy System governs how agents behave, act, escalate, or halt. It is one of the foundational layers in Lunexa and provides bounded, configurable autonomy.

Policy Types

Permission Policy

Defines what actions an agent is allowed to take (e.g., approve payouts under 1 ETH

Autonomy Policy

Sets when the agent must escalate vs. act autonomously

Rate Limits

Controls how often actions can occur (e.g., 3 tx/day)

Spending Caps

Restricts financial authority over time windows

Trigger Conditions

Event-based rules to activate or pause certain behaviors

Fallback Escalation

Specifies what happens when an action is blocked or rejected

Policies can be updated via:

  • Command Console (manual override)

  • Governance proposal (if iDAO is token-governed)

  • Scheduled updates (e.g., at the end of a quarter)
